Evenings and weekend hours may be occasionally required based upon activities and needs of the Office of Teacher Education

M-F, 8:00am – 4:30pm with evenings and weekends as may be required from time to time

Job Duties Duties & Responsibilities Advises students on semester academic plans for enrollment, admissions criteria for the Teacher Education Program, long term enrollment strategies for staying on track, major selection based on career goals and auxiliary support services available on campus (DRS, Counseling Center, Tutoring Labs)
Duties & Responsibilities Utilizes Banner, UMdegree, Matrix, NAVIGATE, and other systems in documenting advising information, identifying enrollment information, and assisting students
Duties & Responsibilities Manages and performs duties related to improving student success and retention rates, such as Early Intervention. Assists with managing external Praxis support programs for students.
Serves on the Student Success Team for the College of Education. Audits student files before and after the start of each semester to ensure student enrollment matches student program of study to ensure students do not fall behind. Provides support and assists with hiring, training, and development of staff and Graduate Assistants in unit
Duties & Responsibilities Provides support and enrollment data to department chairs, faculty, and administrators in the respective major areas. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of University/School’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Duties & Responsibilities Provides support for undergraduate recruitment activities including high school, community college and university visitations, participation in career expos, and presentations to private and campus organizations
Duties & Responsibilities Aids new students with admission and registration procedures; Assists in making decisions regarding late registrations, late drops/adds, and other matters
Duties & Responsibilities Other duties as assigned.
