Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position provides administrative support for the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Epidemiology. The incumbent will prepare travel authorizations and travel reimbursement submissions for designated Bureau staff, and will review travel documentation to ensure compliance with agency policy. The position will make travel arrangements for staff as needed. The position will prepare, review, route, and track documents for Bureau staff using an electronic document routing system and folder system. Incumbent answers and triages incoming telephone calls and email inquiries to appropriate Bureau subject matter experts and county health departments. The position will process incoming and outgoing mail as needed. The incumbent will monitor and track Bureau assignments. The position assists subject matter experts with preparing for meetings, conferences, and presentations by providing scheduling, document support, and meeting minutes. The incumbent will maintain documents that support Bureau functions, such as triage lists, contact lists, and tracking spreadsheets. The position also restocks toner and paper in printers and provides office supplies to staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of English spelling and grammar rules. Skill in document editing using MS Word. Skill in using MS PowerPoint. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work collaboratively, and work with integrity. Other abilities necessary to perform required tasks include strong attention to detail, flexibility, self-discipline, and workplace professionalism.

AA or higher degree
