New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Index: 01/M/02 ($34.45/hour) to 01/M/04 ($37.26/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "M" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Acceptable Experience & Training
- A portfolio or examples of past work demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities reflected in the job posting;
- Professional references or testimonials from previous clients or employers;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations;
- Bachelor’s Degree required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Function
The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the production and editing of short video projects and photography with a focus on storytelling and communicating Boise School District's key messages to external and internal audiences. This position will also serve as the District's primary contact with its external marketing partner. This position will be responsible for ensuring video and other content is posted on multi-channel digital platforms, including the District's social media platforms, to ensure maximum reach through a strategic communications plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Edit and create post-production videos and photographs that engage Boise School District's students, families and patrons to become more informed about our schools, staff and the opportunities for all students;
- Collaborate with the District's external marketing partner to align branding, messaging, and creative strategies for both video and photography with the District's strategic plan;
- Collaborate with district leadership on the digital content strategy (social media, website, email, etc.) for the district, its schools and students;
- Ensure that video, photography, and other content are posted on multi-channel digital platforms, including the District's social media platforms, to maximize reach and align with the District's strategic plan.
- Provide guidelines and/or training for students and staff on the best practices for creating compelling social media content;
- Analyze data and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide data-informed recommendations;
- Other duties as assigned.
Competency Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and experience in various aspects of digital media, including content creation, social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), online advertising, analytics, and campaign management;
- Well-versed in the latest digital media trends and best practices;
- Effectively communicate ideas, strategies, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Able to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner;
- Demonstrated experience with digital media software, social media managment tools, content managment systems, analytics platforms, and advertising platforms;
- A track record of delivering measurable results and the ability to demonstrate their ability to achieve specific goals, such as increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, improved engagement, etc;
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve common objectives;
- Detail-oriented and a meticulous approach to tracking and analyzing campaign performance;
