This role is responsible for assisting with the implementation and oversight of the federal personnel and information security programs, while maintaining compliance with NISP, CUI, and CMMC requirements and regulations. The role cultivates positive relationships with government representatives, internal colleagues and business units, and client personnel. The role applies advanced subject matter expertise to shape internal strategies and processes to efficiently and effectively comply with security regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures overall compliance with National Industrial Security Program and contract security requirements, as well as adherence to company security processes and procedures.

  • Maintains and builds positive relationships with government personnel, staff, and agencies to protect core business, encourage growth and performance of our federal team, and advance organization’s values.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of strategy initiatives which align with the organization's long-term goals and objectives.

  • Becomes a strategic partner to advise the business units, employees, and peers on all matters related to the security clearance process, NISP requirements, NIST and CMMC requirements, and contract security requirements.

  • Stays abreast of current regulations surrounding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) compliance, NIST 800-171 requirements and compliance standards, and standard information security procedures.

  • Ensures efficiency and accuracy of the security clearance process, ensuring accurate and timely feedback is provided to applicants and colleagues.

  • Helps implement and maintain the federal cyber security environment and personnel security program, to include documenting policies and procedures, monitoring adherence to procedures, and providing written status reports.

  • Prepares for the annual security reviews for oversight agencies and ensures ongoing compliance and related documentation.

  • Develops and maintains a solid understanding of the security capabilities of the company and assists federal business team and the FSO in contributing applicable knowledge into business proposals and RFP responses.

  • Assists with the Insider Threat Program and the helps maintain the program documentation.

  • Supports provision of mentoring and guidance to other employees.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or higher degree in Security, Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Approximately 6+ years of directly related work experience.


Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship (as required, per DOD regulations for security clearances).

  • Possess a Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.

  • Maintain a favorable Top Secret clearance adjudication.

  • Strong MS Office, written and verbal communication, and keyboarding skills.

  • FSO Possessing or Non-Possessing Training Completion Certification.

  • Requires a strong working knowledge and direct experience using DISS, NISS, and NBIS.

The base pay range for this role is $113,200 to $161,300 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
