As an Instructional Development Manager, you'll get to:
- Support Quality Systems: Oversee the QMS training module by developing training plans, aligning job functions, and creating new roles as needed.
- Assess and Collaborate: Identify learning needs through organizational assessments and collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design tailored training solutions.
- Design and Develop Training: Utilize methodologies like ADDIE or Agile to create, update, and implement instructional materials for technical skills, competency assessments, and job training.
- Leverage Cutting-Edge Tools: Stay proficient in the latest training technologies, incorporating multimedia elements, audio narration, and eLearning platforms to enhance training programs.
- Measure Impact: Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, surveys, and performance metrics to ensure meaningful learning outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Lead Key Programs: Manage flagship initiatives like the Trainer University certification program, empowering trainers and maintaining high instructional standards.
- Drive Organizational Excellence: Manage instructional projects, refine processes, and represent Vitalant in professional organizations to share expertise and stay at the forefront of industry practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in development/delivery of adult training required.
- Working knowledge of instructional training development, monitoring and implementation required.
- Knowledgeable in the theory and practice of adult learning required.
- Current knowledge of blood bank operations and an understanding of federal, state, and local regulations affecting activities preferred.
- Ability to become certified and execute the Trainer U training program within 12 months required.
Experience
- Five years combined experience in developing, monitoring, implementing, and conducting education and training programs required with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in eLearning authoring software preferred.
- Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work either alone or in a team environment, depending on the need of the project.
- Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Efficient consulting skills with the ability to effectively assist personnel in executing job tasks.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong computer software skills.
- Ability to resent and facilitate training.
