JOB SUMMARY

The Event Housekeeping Supervisor is accountable for contributing to the cleaning of Gainbridge Fieldhouse on event and non-event days. The schedule for this role varies and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will work with our housekeeping team to ensure the clean standards of our beautiful facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Clean Team during events, including Pacers/Fever/Mad-Ants games and entertainment events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Bicentennial Unity Plaza, ensuring that cleanliness is maintained and providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout Gainbridge Fieldhouse, including vacuuming carpeted areas, cleaning furniture, dusting, collecting trash, sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Coordinate and manage third-party cleaning contractors to ensure cleaning assignments are fulfilled at a high level.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness throughout the normal business day, including office hallways, facility lobbies, break rooms and elevators.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Box Office, Pacers/Fever Team Store, and entry pavilion.
  • Check and maintain the cleanliness of the outside plazas including trash cans, windows ledges and glass features.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms used every day.
  • Respond and assist with any radio calls pertaining to housekeeping throughout the event and day.
  • Perform various housekeeping duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial housekeeping preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

REASONING ABILITY:

As the Event Housekeeping Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to analyze problems, gather data, establish facts, and make informed decisions. You will also be responsible for interpreting directions and technical diagrams to ensure precise execution of cleaning tasks.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

In this role, you will work together with different individuals and groups both inside and outside the organization to address issues and accomplish cleaning tasks and projects within the designated timeframe. Your commitment to professionalism and excellent customer service will play a vital role in delivering exceptional solutions.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, move heavy objects, operate cleaning equipment, use a computer, use a 10-key calculator, use a telephone, speak, hear, and write. You will be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals via cleaning solutions but will be provided personal protective equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate and the noise level in Gainbridge Fieldhouse / game environment is usually loud. The stress level may become high during certain times of the year.
