Description
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) operates as the subject-matter expert on reimbursement, access, and coverage issues affecting the client's products. They educate HCPs and their staff on reimbursement, access, and coverage to facilitate appropriate patient access. The FRM analyzes reimbursement and access issues and acts as the local access and reimbursement resource for other field sales force personnel and regional management, coordinating with the Hub on individual patient cases, patient reimbursement assistance, referrals to enrollment, and overall coordination. The position requires collaboration across various functions including Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Public Affairs, State & Government Affairs, Trade, and Specialty Pharmacy Accounts, complying with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
- Analyze reimbursement issues and opportunities
- Provide offices product reimbursement expertise
- Provide reimbursement education to field teams
- Coordinate on reimbursement issues with third parties including Hubs
- Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy for pharmacy benefit products
- Educate HCPs on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, and coding requirements of payer organizations
- Provide information to HCP on how the products are covered under the benefit design
- Answer questions about coverage and ICD-10 codes, including patient-specific access questions
- Educate and update HCPs on key private and public payer coverage and changes
- Support patient access to products by providing expertise on reimbursement issues
- Educate HCPs on the products Hub program, including reimbursement, financial assistance, and Hub tools
- Demonstrate knowledge of and communicate information about resources and forms available for access and reimbursement
Job Requirements
- BS/BA Degree required
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
- 2+ years of experience with a buy and bill, complex product
- Cardiology or Rare Disease experience preferred
- Proven experience with Hubs, and knowledge of billing, coding, and appeals
- Experience with commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid in geographic region
- Exhibit competent understanding of Hub activities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including overnights and/or weekends
