Saint Martin de Porres High School is part of the Cristo Rey Network of Catholic schools designed exclusively for students of modest means. Our competitive edge is our Corporate Work Study program, which allows students to gain real world work experience while receiving a college preparatory education. Position Summary

The Relationship & Client Engagement Manager supports the overall efforts of Corporate Work Study by focusing on maintaining customer service relations with engaged partners, assisting with increasing student satisfaction with CWS, and ensuring student associates are performing at an optimal level at their sponsors’ workplaces. Additionally, the manager drives client engagement efforts by fostering strong relationships with partners, identifying opportunities for enhanced collaboration with students and families, and ensuring a positive, mutually beneficial experience for all stakeholders. This work centers on four key areas: events, including regular training sessions and collaborative gatherings with partners; professional development, which provides opportunities for skill-building and growth for both students and partners; resources, focused on designing and implementing tools and materials to support program success; and communication, ensuring clear, consistent, and ongoing engagement to strengthen partnerships and enhance overall satisfaction and program impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This is a general representation of the key duties and responsibilities required of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Relationship Manager

  • Serving as a primary Relationship Manager for an assigned portfolio of CWS clients/sponsors: Develop and maintain ongoing good relations with CWS partners and the supervisors of student associates. Intentionally building relationships based on trust, respect and excellent customer service.
  • Conduct two site visits per year with each client to assess student working conditions, assess the program via supervisor feedback, and ensure compliance with US Department of Labor regulations.
  • Manage the process of re-contracting accounts and soliciting increased commitments, maintaining an 85% partner retention rate, and regularly reporting progress and insights to the Director of Business Development to align strategies for partner growth and retention.
  • Meet and collaborate regularly with the Director of Business Development to share updates on partner engagement, providing timely insights on factors that may impact renewal status and strategizing solutions to maintain strong partnerships.
  • Complete data collection, analysis, and reporting to required agencies and organizations (i.e. Cristro Rey and US Department of Labor).
  • Assist with conducting/planning remedial workplace training for students removed from job, focusing on students’ areas of improvement to set them up for success in new job placement.
  • Assist the daily check-in/out process M-Th on workdays.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Training & Credentialing, Director of Business Development, and the Chief Operating Officer.

Client Engagement Manager

  • Develop and plan events for clients to ensure sustained relationships and continued commitment to the work-study mission.
  • Design and implement workshops or training sessions to increase skill-development, foster collaboration and strengthen relationships with supervisors.
  • Support CWS efforts to Network in community and contribute to new partner attraction efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of resources designed to enhance client partnerships and program effectiveness. This includes creating, curating, and managing online tools, guides, and materials accessible through digital platforms, as well as physical resources that support client needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on client needs and expectations.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and proactive communication with clients and provide updates on organizational initiatives, program deliverables, or other relevant topics.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant work experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with students, particularly high school-aged individuals, in educational, mentorship, or program coordination roles.
  • Organized, with very effective time management skills.
  • Capable of managing several initiatives simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands the need for and is able to maintain and protect all confidential materials and information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with various audiences including students and parents; corporate sponsors; and colleagues.
  • Strong team player, able to work closely with CWS team members and faculty and staff.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
