TMG Wall Systems Inc, a leader in commercial drywall contracting, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Superintendent to join our team. The General Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring that all drywall installation and finishing projects meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires an individual with a strong background in drywall and painting, who is capable of overseeing quality assurance processes across multi-family housing and mixed-use development projects.

With an executive team that has been in the drywall and painting industry since 2003, TMG Wall Systems has successfully completed numerous high-profile projects for clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Navy (NAVFAC), Alaska DOT, and various school districts and municipalities across Alaska and Washington. We pride ourselves on providing knowledgeable foremen and the proper manpower for each project, ensuring that our work is completed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and enforce quality control processes for all drywall installation and finishing projects to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess the quality of work performed. Identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality control inspections, findings, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit quality control reports to the executive team and project managers.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for field staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards and best practices in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and clients to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. Provide solutions to quality issues and maintain open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Project Management Support: Work closely with project management teams to ensure quality control measures are integrated into project plans and schedules. Assist in the coordination of manpower and resources to achieve quality objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality control processes and practices. Lead initiatives to enhance overall project quality and efficiency.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, and painting within the commercial construction industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in drywall or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and best practices for drywall installation and finishing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor field staff.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to maintain detailed documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • OSHA certification or knowledge of safety regulations and practices is a plus.
