Job Overview

Perfectemp Inc, a family-owned HVAC company specializing in commercial projects, seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Special Projects Estimator to join our Service Department. This role involves overseeing service project estimates, execution, and profitability in a collaborative and flexible work environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC services, installations, controls, retrofit, and design-build, and will work closely with customers, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely completion of all assigned projects and accurate estimates
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, building owners, subcontractors, and field support teams
  • Review estimates for accuracy and address discrepancies effectively
  • Monitor and control project expenses to maintain profitability
  • Oversee ordering and receipt of equipment, materials, and services, approving payments as necessary
  • Manage and implement change orders and recommend solutions to meet project needs
  • Maintain high standards of quality for all project deliverables
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Manage subcontractors and other resources effectively, keeping databases updated for accurate project costing
  • Address and resolve complaints with support from the service manager
  • Be available for weekend and after-hours work as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 years in commercial HVAC service preferred
  • Detail-oriented, confident, organized, and highly motivated
  • Strong professional communication skills for interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Ability to maintain organized records and complete work on time
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Skilled at managing difficult situations with a high level of professionalism
