Property Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on property management and real estate financials. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights for our property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis
  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide detailed analysis of financial performance across multiple properties.
• Prepare reserve draws to multiple lenders.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
  Manage property-related invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation
  Maintain the general ledger for property-related accounts.
  Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Tax & Compliance
  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  Assist with tax filings, property tax assessments, and audits.
• Tenant & Lease Management
  Track and record tenant deposits, security deposits.
• Software & System Maintenance
  Utilize property management software for financial tracking and reporting.
  Maintain accurate records within the system for audit and operational purposes.

Qualifications:

• Education
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field is desired.
• Experience
  Minimum of [5] years of accounting experience, with at least [2] years in property accounting, management, or real estate finance.
  Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Entrata, Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, etc.) is highly desirable.

  Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
  Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in multi-property accounting, including residential, commercial, and/or mixed-use properties.
