Job Overview:
In this role your primary responsibility is to produce high quality Inks for our customers. There are many machines used in the production process. You will be responsible for learning all of the processes and equipment. Your key role will be to use our PLC driven Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment to produce high quality ink via batch tickets. The key to your success will be to produce the best quality product, on-time and practicing safety as a top priority.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review batch tickets – read, understand and follow
- Provide samples to lab
- Pack product into designated containers; labeling containers
- Report near miss incidents and improvement opportunities
- Equipment cleaning, plant cleaning, waste disposal
- Forklift operation
- Understand SAP inventory
- Tub washer
- Gather and weigh ingredients. (scale operation)
- Stock rotation / minimization of partial containers
- Ingredient traceability
- Operate and trouble shoot mixing equipment
- Combine ingredients in designated sequence
- Training others
- Preliminary quality checks
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times & maintain a clean work area and work safely
- Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training session
- Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or pass a pre-employment screening assessment
- Experience with quality control and safety procedures
- Capable of repeatedly lifting 55 lbs. and standing for long periods of time
- 1+ yrs of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience with mixing, measuring and/or weighing
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience with batch manufacturing
