Job Overview
This is the full performance level for the occupation. Receives contaminated semi critical reusable medical devices in the decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment as well. Disassembles the devices and determines the correct cleaning method. Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all processes and equipment.

Shift: Several Shifts Available - Please select shift preference during application process.
- 1 overnight 8:30 pm to 7am Sun-Thurs
- 2 evening shifts 3pm to 11:30pm (Variable Days)
- 1 morning shift 7am - 3:30pm Wed-Sun
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
- Perform equipment inventory to verify quantities on hand in the department and on units.
- Deliver clean equipment and picks up dirty equipment as needed and as directed.
- Orders patient specific rental equipment.
- Assists in various projects involving department.
- Meets minimum department productivity standards.
- Understands customer needs, expectations, and performs appropriate customer service.
All personnel who are involved in reprocessing of devices are responsible for following the department policy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) drafted in accordance with the manufacturers written recommendations. Sterile Processing and Infection Prevention Control should be consulted when clarification of written instructions is needed.

Guidelines: Trains in the field and assists higher level personnel to acquire learning through practical experience.
Complexity: Performs routine and/or basic tasks common to the field. Procedures, methods, and techniques to be used are well established with options to be considered well defined.
Decision Making: Duties assigned are primarily routine, repetitive, and restricted in intricacy with little or no discretion in how they are carried out.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range: $31,561.73 to $47,342.60
Hourly Salary Range: $15.17 to $22.76
