Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and recruiting potential applicants for admission as traditional first-time freshmen, transfers, and nontraditional adults; collecting and evaluating credentials; making decisions regarding individuals’ candidacies for admission to UNCG; and positively affecting admitted students' decisions to matriculate to UNCG. The Office serves as a major public relations arm of the institution and helps to shape a positive image of the University. Through its activities, it supports the University’s enrollment goals.
Position Summary The position evaluates students’ academic credentials and makes admission recommendations based on the minimum UNCG System criteria. It involves creating applicant records, entering academic information into CRM software, processing applications, explaining policies to prospective students, and maintaining effective relationships to support communication and teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
