Quality Data Analyst
FCA
The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for analysis of internal and external quality KPI data. This includes collection/extraction of data, maintaining the collection of data, trend analysis, stratification and reporting. The Data Analyst primary function includes:
- Data Analysis to understand patterns, issues, trends, and spikes in quality data;
- Identify quality issues (i.e. Product, Process) and their associated magnitudes/trends;
- Assess effectiveness of corrective actions by evaluating clean points and trends;
- Support KPI performance forecasts based on clean points established, corrective action effectiveness, and associated correlation/factors.
The Data Analyst reports directly to the Plant Quality Engineering Manager and will build effective relationships with both Salaried and Hourly personnel. The analyst will work with assembly, corporate, and supplier personnel to acquire data from primary and additional data sources. The analyst will leverage their experience and expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data and use proactive measures to identify patterns that can be used as part of problem identification activities.
Principle Relationships
- Daily Operational Production meetings with Quality Plant Manager, Quality plant service managers to deal with quality issues/production
- Weekly meetings with plant manager, workshop managers etc. to monitor the achievement of site quality objectives
- Weekly meetings with Supplier Quality Development, ENG/CCLP Cross Car Line & Project, MFG/VPE/GAPE… to coordinate the progress of diamonds
- Convening of the site director’s/quality managers of the most failing supplier sites. Meetings with suppliers
Operational Context
The holder of this function must contribute to improving the quality level of new and customer vehicles in a context of ever more ambitious quality objectives. Improving the level of quality of customer vehicles. The position requires great responsiveness and organization in order to ensure accuracy of reporting and deadlines are met. Support the Quality Plant Manager and Quality Engineering Manager to prepare, analyze and report data.
Deliverables
- Provide accurate and timely data to support daily, weekly and monthly activities and report-outs
- Work with the extended team to ensure all data is accurate, uniform, and well understood
- Maintain data sets within the plant for historical reference and to guide the business
- Analyze both internal and external data to identify opportunities to improve the performance
- Use data stratification to identify specific issues, detection, and systemic issues
- Evaluate large datasets for accuracy and identify common themes
- Assist with KPI forecasting based on Clean Points and associated improvement (%)
- Analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures
- Collaborate and lead internal and external resources to maintain strong customer relationships with dedication to the program schedule
- Support Plant Leadership with report-outs/presentation for plant/vehicle quality performance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to work a flexible shift schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed
- Effective presentation/public speaking skills and ability to demonstrate both coaching/teaching
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and directed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Information Management, Statistics, Business, or related field.
- 3 years of related professional experience
- Experience using statistical tools for analyzing datasets
- Computer programming experience (VBA, Java Script, SQL,)
- Experience with advanced tools (MS Visio, MS Project, MS Access, Power Query, Qlik, Tableau, Minitab)
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing and/or Quality workforce
- Knowledge of FCA systems: CQI, WIS, QNA, WDSS, PFS, FIS, GIMS, Palantir, etc.
- World Class Manufacturing Experience, preferably in QCS, WO, CD, EEM, EPM
