Description

RETTEW, a leading engineering consulting firm, seeks a Training and Development Manager to assist with company-wide career development goals. The Training and Development Manager is responsible for enhancing the productivity, engagement, and retention of employees at RETTEW. This role involves assessing company-wide developmental needs, driving training initiatives, and implementing effective training programs to improve employee performance, career development, and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing corporate training programs.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities include:

Program Design and Development

  • Develop and align training and development strategies with company goals.
  • Coordinate all company-wide training to ensure consistency.
  • Conduct annual needs assessments to improve current programs and identify future needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address operational changes and industry developments.
  • Develop and update training materials and ensure compliance with laws and best practices.
  • Organize and create both broad and job-specific training programs.

Program Delivery/Facilitation/Implementation

  • Deliver required and recommended training to various audiences.
  • Select and assign instructors for specific training sessions.
  • Utilize various media and methods for training delivery.
  • Train and mentor managers and supervisors in employee development.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and training providers.

Program Management

  • Ensure training milestones and goals are met within budget.
  • Maintain records of training activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on new training techniques and developments.
  • Develop regular communications to inform employees about training events and resources.
  • Assist in developing annual training plans and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in designing and implementing training programs.
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to moderate groups of all sizes, both remotely and in-person.
  • Thorough understanding of effective training processes.
  • Team player with leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and multimedia training platforms.
  • Innovative thinking and a proactive mindset.
