Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, technology or related field is required
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in Management Information Systems (MIS), including significant roles managing large-scale technology infrastructures.
- At least three years of supervisory experience in MIS, information services, or technology services, preferably within a government or public sector organization.
- Experience managing budgets, including technology procurement, vendor contracts, and aligning expenditures with District goals
- Expertise working in large-scale environments with large user bases, device fleets, and data center infrastructure, including hybrid cloud integrations.
- Strong knowledge of data center management, cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery planning, and large-scale network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for government agencies, including compliance with NIST, FERPA, and other applicable laws or standards.
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives, optimizing operational efficiencies, and implementing scalable technology solutions

Job Goal
To provide strategic leadership for the district's technology services, ensuring reliable, efficient operations that align with district goals, support innovation, and safeguard the integrity of critical systems and data.
Essential Functions
- Provides senior leadership in all aspects of the district's information and technology services, ensuring alignment with District goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversees the districtwide enterprise network infrastructure, including design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of robust cybersecurity measures.
- Manages and mentors the ITS staff to ensure effective and efficient daily operations, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develops and implements short- and long-range plans, identifying necessary resources and technologies to achieve strategic objectives.
- Gathers, analyzes, and shares actionable data on technology utilization across the district to inform decision-making.
- Leads the integration of data and information systems, serving as a key driver for the adoption of modern and scalable technology solutions.
- Establishes, enforces, and maintains operating procedures, disaster recovery plans, management reporting protocols, and maintenance schedules.
- Develops and enforces operating standards and controls for the Information Services Department to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and requirements
- Creates and oversees project schedules and budgets, including staffing plans and resource allocation
- Leads incident response efforts, taking swift and appropriate action to mitigate risks related to viruses, malware, spam, or other network threats.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.

Scale: Administrative Salary Scale
Days Employed: 246 per school year
Range: $87,750.00 – $110,000.00 annually
Overtime: Exempt
