Military Field Sales Representative

In the position of Military Field Sales Representative you will manage and build distributor relationships, educate, and motivate distributor representatives to gain new distribution, build volume in existing military accounts, execute at the chain level within an assigned territory. Lead distributor, bottler military business results in the assigned unit, territory and be responsible for the success of the company initiatives in the respective military territory through effective distributor management skills, solid market execution skills and the ability to develop strong relationships.
Essential Job Functions:
- Aggressively identify, target and sample existing and potential accounts, both individually and in partnership with distributors, to maximize shelf space allocated and product offerings carried within the military territory.
- Train distributors’ sales representatives and newly hired field sales representatives (FSR) personnel as required on product knowledge, sales methodologies, procedures and current promotions. Attend distributor meetings on a regular basis to discuss military business and results. Ensure distributors’ military merchandising personnel adequately service accounts based on sales achieved and shelf/floor space obtained.
- Maximize the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned military region through the establishment and appropriate execution of national sales programs.
- Provide reports on military day-to-day sales activities and results as required, providing necessary back-up to support sales and bonus programs objectives. Develop, manage and/or maximize military partnerships to drive improved performance use objective tools, information and feedback in order to establish region and area performance goals and results.
- Ensure the team understands and adheres to standards and operating procedures. Apply a sales strategy to target key military markets and establish a dominant presence in the territory. Execute promotional programs and activities with key partners, arranging for regular vehicle maintenance and record keeping of the maintenance, vehicle is kept clean and well organized to provide for a professional product and image.
- Manage military sales forecasts and budgets to achieve established goals to deliver profitable growth for assigned Unit. Manage military sales reporting obligations in a timely manner to include frequent sales updates, pricing surveys, etc.
- Establish and maintain a direct line of communication to all levels of the assigned distributor(s) (i.e. sales, merchandising, distribution/drivers, cooler services, administrators, etc.)
- Complete comprehension and utilization of all tools and capabilities to maximize productivity and results in the assigned market. Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Administration or related field of study.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or marketing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) field.
- Computer operating skills in and outside of an office environment to include handheld devices.
- Proven knowledge of wholesalers, distributor and retail customers. Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers and wholesalers; ability to collaborate at all levels.
Base Pay Range: $50,000 - $69,880 (+)
