Project Coordinator

Job Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for executing projects that provide gas and electric services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.


• This role requires a sound understanding of Gas and/or Electric Distribution Systems and the ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks to meet customer needs and deadlines.


• The Project Coordinator will oversee projects from the design phase through scheduling and field construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating work between the customer and various stakeholders.


• Estimate customer and system loads, update customers on project status, and generate tasks for other departments.


• Provide cost estimates, identify required permits, and schedule work orders.


• Conduct project scoping, evaluate distribution design requirements, and direct preparation of work orders.


• Coordinate prerequisites for successful completion of distribution projects and apply ingenuity in standard procedures.


• Conduct fieldwork as necessary to meet on-site with customers.


• Use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and other systems/software such as SAP to manage project requirements and ensure quality control.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.


• Ability to analyze complex problems, recommend alternatives, and take corrective action.


• In-depth knowledge of business policies and procedures.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to multitask and switch tasks quickly while maintaining organization.


• Anticipate and understand the impact of actions/procedures on multiple systems.


• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently on complex projects.


• Strong teamwork capabilities.


• Proficient in computer applications (Windows, MS Office) and analytical tools.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in a scientific or technical field OR completion of two years of college coursework towards a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and systems/software such as SAP.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage project milestones and prioritize work assignments.


• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
