Part Time Events Warehouse Assistant

Job purpose
The basic function of the Warehouse Assistant is to help the Warehouse Manager carry out all duties associated to inventory control, equipment maintenance and warehouse tasks. Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring all gear gets pulled, trucks get packed and unpacked, and equipment returned to its proper location in a timely manner. As the warehouse is a shared space with other Stage Front departments, keeping it clean and professional is a function of this job.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain warehouse in efficient, safe and orderly manner
- Ensure the Event staff follows proper equipment process for issuing and returning equipment set in place by Operations Manager.
- Receive and document all subrental equipment and ship out according to incoming documentation.
- Preparation and operational verification of all out-going equipment.
- Process, repair and/or refurbish all returning equipment.
- Maintain organization of all equipment storage locations.
- Follow up of all external equipment repairs and testing.
- Complete a daily task checklist to always keep warehouse clean
- Assist with truck packs and dumps (may be on Weekends)
- Perform delivery and pick-up of small/local equipment rentals as needed.
- Keep and maintain a forklift certification.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of related experience
- Clean driving record
- Basic carpentry and repair skills
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings when needed.
- Understanding of basic Audio, Video, Rigging, and Lighting Gear
- Organization is a Must for this position
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with and interpret nonverbal symbolism (formulas, graphs, blueprints, etc.)
- Ability to drive a variety of box trucks, i.e. 16’, 26’ etc.… DOT card a plus
Working conditions
The Events Warehouse Assistant position requires working in an office environment as well as working in the shop. Occasionally will require travel and can be any type of facility including, but not limited to, professional office buildings, industrial facilities, outdoor venues, and educational facilities. The Events Warehouse Assistant will be asked to pick up and drop off local subrentals if necessary.
