Our team of healthcare professionals positively impacts the health, well-being and quality of life for those we serve providing comprehensive, integrated, affordable healthcare and education to patients. We utilize a team-based model including embedded Behavioral Health Clinicians as well as Case Managers, Care Coordinators and Community Health Workers.
The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for ensuring team-based pediatric dietitian services which exemplify clinical best practices, are family-centered and culturally competent. These services are provided to Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs (CYSHCN) throughout NH. Reports directly to the Nutrition, Feeding and Swallowing Program Manager.
Requirements:
- Works as an integral member of the NFS team.
- Supervises registered dietitians.
- Education/Training: Masters level Registered and NH Licensed Dietitian with extensive experience (10+ years preferred) serving children and youth with Medical Complexity.
- Experience: Extensive experience assessing clinical competency, supervising and coaching of Registered Dietitians; experience in collaborative models of health care. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the technical acuity to learn and master other technology solutions, including EMR. Able to operate office equipment.
- HOURS: 30 hours/week (5 hours/week Supervisor, 25 hours/week as Registered Dietitian)
Compensation: The starting rate for this position is $39.25 per hour, which reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your rate will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in the recruitment, hiring and training new Nutrition providers as openings arise.
- Ensures report templates and contents reflect current best practices for CYSHCN.
- Provides clinical support to pediatric dietitians including technical consultation to problem-solve challenging cases; strategies for healthy NFS team functioning; addressing any challenges with regional collaboration.
- Keeps abreast of pediatric nutrition products relevant to CYSHCN. Builds relationships with product developers and suppliers and disseminates information to colleagues, healthcare coordinators and DME providers when indicated.
- Monitors and Approves bi-weekly payroll and monthly Employee Expense Reports.
- Prepares and submits annual performance reviews for dietitians.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
Jointly with the administration team:
- Regularly reviews policies and procedures to ensure uniform, program-wide standards of care and service provision.
- Attends weekly NFS Administrative Team meetings/monthly NFS Program Provider meetings.
- Contributes to the design of a quality assurance and/or customer satisfaction survey plan for each fiscal year.
