The primary role of this position is to assist Del Norte Credit Union in living out its mission of improving lives as a financial cooperative by possessing a passionate devotion to providing outstanding and empathetic service to Del Norte Credit Union members and our workforce. One of the primary means to achieve this is to develop a highly effective level of training courses and develop each employee to their highest potential through training, coaching and leadership.
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $69,333.89 to $86,667.36 New hires typically brought into the organization at a rate between the range minimum and the range maximum, depending on the qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.
Work Location:
Midtown Branch located in Santa Fe, NM.
Requirements:Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Identification and implementation of training and development needs for L&D staff, including cross-training and succession planning.
- Building and managing vendor relationships.
- Compliance with all related policies, procedures and regulations; the documentation and improvement of department processes and procedures.
- Serve on cross-functional project teams, ensuring all associated tasks are completed timely
- Assist in the selection of talent to serve as effective role models and coaches.
- Supervise Learning & Development staff in alignment with the credit union’s management philosophy.
- Oversee the daily operations of the department while developing and motivating high performance. Completes and administers performance evaluations.
- Assist in the administration and facilitation of the Leadership and Management Development programs.
- Facilitate, model and coach the principles of Thought Patterns for High Performance.
- Apply learning theories, while evaluating the current training curriculums to gauge effectiveness and to determine effective instructional methods that improve processes and procedures.
- Review data for trainee progress obtained through routine tests, observations, surveys and feedback from the trainees and supervisors.
- Collaborate with Knowledge Management in their efforts to gather. Create and maintain organizational knowledge.
- Collaborate with Managers to identify areas for training and process improvement, incorporating performance excellence, education, and staff development, ensuring achievement of their highest potential.
- Serve on cross-functional project teams and ensuring tasks are completed timely and training content is highly effective.
- Administration and maintenance of L&D associated systems (i.e. BVS, LinkedIn Learning).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education:
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

May require siting or standing for long periods of time; lift up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
May involve work schedules outside a normal business work days or hours, in order to meet the needs of the organization. Travel between credit union offices required. Must have reliable transportation.
