Summary of Job Function: Maintenance employees work in cooperation with staff and supervisors to coordinate the safety and maintenance and equipment needs of Prestera locations.

Essential Functions:
- Maintains buildings, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
- Monitors buildings conditions and takes corrective maintenance actions as needed.
- Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk from sites as needed.
- Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers at designated locations.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications, and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
- Education, Certification/License, and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Maintenance experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license upon hire as travel to locations is required.
- Must attain/maintain certification in Non-violent crisis intervention and CPR/FA during employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various types of weather, requiring physical effort in carrying out maintenance and repair work with frequent lifting of moderate to heavy objects. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, crawling, climbing. Maintenance employees are exposed to power tools, electricity, heights, paint fumes, etc. Must have the ability to: maintain and make minor repairs to machinery, equipment, and tools; ability to learn a variety of routine maintenance tasks, equipment operation; ability to perform standardized work with little direct supervision; ability to comprehend safety rules and guidelines and conduct work in a safe manner; and must possess the ability to read, write reports, perform basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
