A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Event Planning and Development:

  • Meet with clients or internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, target audience, and budget.
  • Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics.
  • Create proposals and presentations for clients or management approval.

Vendor Management:

  • Research, negotiate with, and manage vendors, including caterers, venues, decorators, A/V technicians, and entertainment providers.
  • Ensure vendors deliver services according to agreed-upon contracts and quality standards.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to maximize value.

Logistics and Operations:

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, registration, transportation, and on-site coordination.
  • Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear instructions and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.

Marketing and Promotion (Sometimes):

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and attract attendees.
  • Manage event registration and ticketing processes.

Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare post-event reports summarizing event outcomes and financial performance.

Guest Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.

What we need from you

  • The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling
  • A good grasp of reading, writing and basic math
  • The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol – you’ll need to be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
  • Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
