Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
College Now is a collaborative program between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the New York City Department of Education (DOE). It is a FREE transition program for qualified NYC public high school students.
Through College Now students have the opportunity to experience the richness of our campus by having access to our facilities and participating in academic, social and cultural events. Interaction with BCC faculty and students gives College Now students an authentic college experience, eases the transition from high school to college and prepares students for a successful academic career.
Course Specifics:
Introduction to Criminal Justice (CRJ-11)
This course familiarizes students with the American criminal justice system. The course introduces students to the theories, concepts, and ways to measure crime. It introduces students to the three main institutions of the criminal justice system: the police, the courts, and corrections. Emphasis is placed on the criminal justice process and how the various institutions of criminal justice interact.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
COMPENSATION
Salary commensurate with education and experience:
Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour
