Diesel Mechanic Technician

Currently In Need of a Diesel Mechanic Technician for our Washington DC location of operation. Weekly Pay Every Thursday.

Principal Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance of company vehicles, including power washing and cleaning of chassis, engines, transmissions and brake lines. Assist the First Auto/Diesel mechanic and manager in all aspects of auto/truck repair. Review of pre-trip inspections and elevation of needed repairs. Test driving of Company vehicles to identify concerns.

• Access vehicle appearance and identify gaps
• Ability to perform all light to medium vehicle repairs
• Ability to perform and complete PM inspections and checklists
• Ability to perform and complete weekly fluid & winterization checklists
• Consistent communication with supervisors including relevant issues relating to maintenance of company vehicles

Education and Experience

• Must be detail oriented and have good organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift heavy objects and be on the move intermittently for shifts of at least 8 hours
• Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing skills
• Adaptability to frequently changing environments
• Ability to work in stressful situations
• Vocational Mechanic Certificate with 1-3 years of experience
• Computer literate
• CDL license preferred (Must be able to obtain an CDL License)
• A.S.E. or comparable certification not required but candidate should be working towards certifications to improve advancement opportunities
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and random drug screening (including Marijuana)
