Job Purpose

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translating them into technical requirements. The Business Analyst will play a key role in projects involving Salesforce software and will contribute to the success of the organization by leveraging their experience in a non-profit environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance business processes and systems.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
  • Facilitate project planning, execution, and monitoring activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Lead and manage Salesforce project implementations, including system configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers and administrators to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that Salesforce solutions meet business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years of experience working with Salesforce software. Experience in a non-profit organization is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Salesforce software, business process modeling, and data analysis tools.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile methodologies, with experience in managing projects using these approaches.
  • Business Analysis Skills: Proficient in writing clear and testable requirements. Proven leader on projects in identifying business needs and feature sets.
  • Organizational Change Management: Experienced in leading change management programs including the development and execution of User Acceptance Testing phases, support processes during system roll out and continuous process monitoring for adoption.
