As a Patient Relations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in their overall experience. This position requires a proactive, personable, and detail-oriented individual who can balance administrative responsibilities with a strong focus on patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by building rapport with patients and addressing their individual needs.
- Manage administrative and clinical tasks, including answering phone calls, greeting patients, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Collect payments and assist with insurance verification when necessary.
- Schedule and manage provider calendars, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians and administrative staff to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
- Learn and adapt quickly to new software systems and clinic processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent customer service skills: Create positive interactions and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Strong multitasking abilities: Handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Attention to detail: Maintain accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Organizational expertise: Keep processes and documentation streamlined.
- Effective communication skills: Interact professionally and clearly, both in person and over the phone.
- Team-oriented mindset: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Physical capability: Sit, stand, kneel/stoop, and lift up to 45 lbs as needed.
- 2+ years of customer service experience (required).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
