We are looking for a Retail Labor Management and Productivity Manager to join the Global Retail Excellence Team and support our LEGO Brand Retail business. In this role, you will lead efforts to define and implement a globally coherent labor strategy and workforce management solutions to enhance store operations and improve service.

Core Responsibilities

As the Retail Labor Management and Productivity Manager for LEGO Brand Retail, you will play a key role in defining and implementing a global labor strategy and workforce management solutions that enhance store operations, improve service, and drive business value.

  • Partner with retail leadership and key collaborators (Finance, Digital Products, etc.) to build standard methodologies for labor management, processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Analyze labor data and govern people costs for the LEGO Brand Retail business.
  • Identify and lead risks related to labor and payroll, ensuring cost control, schedule deployment, and accurate payments.
  • Support retail operations and the Sr. Manager, Retail Labor & Productivity to streamline labor processes and drive productivity improvements through analytics.
  • Represent retail needs in the development of workforce management technology solutions and reporting tools.
  • Guide retail teams in planning staffing, store hours, and prioritization to optimize operations and ensure outstanding LEGO experiences.
  • Collaborate with HR and Legal on compliance, wage increases, bonus reviews, and other legal requirements.
  • Benchmark and integrate external labor management practices to improve our strategy.

By building a strong understanding of our entire branded retail business and especially our LEGO Branded Stores portfolio, you will help drive critical efficiency improvement initiatives and labor excellence projects in close collaboration with key partners from retail store operations, store development, digital products, finance, people operations and development, legal and other key partners involved in our physical retail business. You will help the LEGO Group build critical retail capabilities and help deliver on our ambitious strategy of making LEGO Branded Stores the pinnacle shopping and brand experience for our shoppers and consumers, globally. Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate will have extensive labor management and productivity experience from leading branded retailers, with expertise in workforce management, retail store operations, or district management. They should also have experience driving retail excellence projects globally, regionally, or locally.

  • Strong knowledge of retail store operations, particularly labor management processes, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering labor and productivity improvement projects that enhance store operations and drive commercial impact.
  • Strong commercial and financial competence with the ability to analyze labor data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of independently leading multiple projects and tasks.
  • Extensive experience leading key partners, with the ability to challenge perspectives and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to shift between strategic discussions and operational details to lead complex projects.
  • Passion for innovation, automation, and improving the experience for store colleagues, shoppers, and consumers.
  • Experience with UKG Pro WFM as a workforce management solution.

Additional details on this position:

  • The salary for this position has a range of $97,000- $146,000 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
  • This position will initially be based at 10 St. James Street in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.
