Visual Observer

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Seasonal Visual Observer join our UMS Spraying Operations team in Napa CA. The UAS Field Technician will be responsible for assisting our UAS Pilots on conducting aerial applications in the Napa / Sonoma area. The UAS Field Technician will handle a variety of duties in the field such as serving as a spotter, a chemical loader and/or a backpack applicator. The UAS Field Technician will also assist with research projects conducting research and assisting with field trials.

Seasonal role: Mid-March-Late July

What you'll be doing:

• Assist with Yamaha Spray Services operations; including performing tasks related to our Unmanned Helicopter such as acting as Visual Observer, chemical loader and/or backpack spraying,
• Assist with keeping fleet of vehicles properly maintained and ensuring all products remain clean and in working order.
• Keep Spray Services office clean and properly organized.
• Assist with research related to agricultural activities; primarily spray activities.
• Assist with adhoc projects and assignments as applicable.
  
  
  

What you will need to be successful:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Agricultural experience preferred.
• Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Knowledgeable with RC equipment and operations preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during spray season.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Some travel may be required (less than 10%)

Pay Range: 27,07 to 29,99 hourly

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is one part of Yamaha’s Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
