Job Summary: The Clinical Resource Coordinator (CRC) is a Registered Nurse responsible for the overall education, development, and training of clinical staff through collaboration with the Clinical Administrator, Director, and Clinical Staff Leaders. The CRC will conduct individual and group staff educational programs, including orientation, inservices, workshops, and the development of educational materials. They will also participate in outreach education as requested. The Coordinator will provide hands-on training, evaluate competency, and perform clinical care when necessary. They function independently and in collaboration with other healthcare providers and are also responsible for the coordination of area-specific quality processes.
Education
- Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (exception with CNO approval).
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing or Education.
Experience
- Required: Three years clinical experience.
- Preferred: Five years department-specific experience, prior experience as an educator.
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
- Required: Current licensure to practice nursing in Tennessee, BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
- Preferred: Certification in area of specialty, BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor.
Department Position Summary
The Clinical Resource Coordinator is responsible for the overall education, development, and training of clinical staff, the role may include direct and indirect patient care, assisting with Nursing Services Orientation, the Nurse Residency program, and the annual credentialing process. This position involves designing and implementing in-services and educational programs for Erlanger staff and other healthcare providers.
The Coordinator must evaluate staff competency in collaboration with department leadership to ensure staff members have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care. They must demonstrate the ability to provide education to adult learners and interpret the information needed to identify patient requirements relative to their population-specific needs.
