Parts Room Attendant

Key activities:

This position requires the ability to stock, organize, inventory, issue, label and control parts and tools entering and leaving the parts room. Receiving/verifying, data entry computer skills are required (spreadsheet, email, word processing). This position is actively involved with monthly physical inventory and daily cycle counts. Completion of purchase orders for low stock items essential. The successful applicant should be familiar with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic component terminology. Ability to work three days on/three days off, rotating shift schedule; twelve hours shift. Attendants are CPR & First Aid responders.

Qualifications/Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent degree.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing environment or familiarity working with tools.
• One-year prior inventory experience and customer service is required.
• Should have a valid driver’s license.

• Reading, mathematical and measurement skills.
• Initiative and attention to detail with sense of urgency.
• Above average organization and leadership skills.
• Some data entry/computer skills needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift/transport up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
