Temporary Vehicle Equipment Operator

Essential Job Duties

• Safely operates a University box truck with the responsibility of picking up surplus property items.
• Inspect items and determine the value before transporting the item(s).
• Must possess skills to quickly make sound judgments.
• Deliver (re-deliver) shipments of freight to customers and pick up or deliver storage.
• Occasionally drive the dump truck to the landfill.
• Presents a positive demeanor and shows respect with regard to campus customers and University property.
• Participates in the public sales including setup, assisting customers, checking receipt, and other related sales duties.
• Handles routine situations with a successful outcome.
• Organizes items in an efficient and safe manner for the Surplus Sale.
• Prints out correct paperwork for surplus requests, freight deliveries, and storage pickups and deliveries.
