Experienced Veterinary Technician
Priority Pet Hospital
Full time position for a CVT or technician skill level assistant
Description
Find your Happy Place in veterinary medicine
Veterinary medicine is tough, and lately it feels like everybody is talking about "professional wellbeing." It's important for sure, but wellbeing in veterinary medicine is more than a poster in the breakroom. Real wellbeing is weekends off to decompress. It's practice leaders who don't stand idly by while a client walks all over the team. It's saying "no" to the 5:30 train wreck instead of asking the team to miss dinner or the kids' bedtime. It's regularly expressing gratitude to teammates and communicating like adults. It's embracing Fear Free techniques so everybody goes home feeling like we made a positive impact on our patients.
At Priority Pet Hospital, we don't just talk about wellbeing. We build deep and lasting client/patient relationships while working with a team driven by shared values, not a group of individuals punching the clock for a paycheck. Our techs are supported from above and below—by owners, management, doctors, and trained assistants—and have the opportunity to fully practice their craft. And, yeah, we have weekends off, too.
We're a privately-owned, AAHA accredited practice dedicated to celebrating, nurturing, and preserving the bond shared between pets and their people. Our team is focused on creating an exceptional Fear Free primary care experience for dogs, cats, and clients. We set high standards for ourselves, and are always pushing to be the best at what we do.
Benefits
We offer a generous compensation and benefits package including a four-day work week with no weekend hours; paid vacation and holidays; 401(k) with employer match; group health, dental, and vision insurance; Costco membership; and staff discounts. Certified technicians are eligible for a continuing education stipend and reimbursement for license fees as well.
