Duties and Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst position is located in the Bureau of Issuance Oversight, Inventory Control Unit. This position will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers in person, by phone and in writing. This position is responsible for analyzing data, generating reports and assisting management with the inventory of license plates, validation decals and parking permits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to assist in program development, expansion and improvement.
- Ability to understand, apply and interpret applicable rules, regulations, program policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of FRVIS, FDLIS, Virtual Office, and other related systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with experience providing customer service, experience preparing correspondence to include memo, letters and reports, and experience interpreting and applying laws, policies and procedures.
General Information
- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
