Family Advocacy Center in Springfield, MA is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician to join our amazing team.
SCHEDULE:
- 40-hr/week position
- Monday – Friday
LOCATION:
- Family Advocacy Center, 300 Carew Street, Springfield, MA
QUALIFICATION Requirements:
- Master’s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (required)
- Certification(s):
- LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC, active in State of Massachusetts
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare or social services setting (5+ years preferred).
- Extensive background checks conducted

Job Responsibilities:
- Completes a psychosocial evaluation including current and past history, assessment of mental status and risk assessment through patient interviews, collateral contacts, and record review.
- Identifies the reason(s) for admissions and in collaboration with the patient develops treatment goals and weekly updates.
- Facilitates/co-facilitates psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups to address treatment objectives.
- Actively participates in the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team Meetings to coordinate the highest quality of care to patients.
- Completes timely documentation of all clinical services in accordance with departmental policies.
- Develops specialized clinical expertise as required and identifies appropriate goals that enhance professional development and institutional needs. Maintains independent licensure, including earning of required CEUs, and adheres to all other practices and policies as outlined by Baystate Health.
- Actively participates in departmental and program meetings, such as conferences, administrative meetings, program development, and other special committees.
- May provide clinical supervision to master’s program interns.

Other Skills and Competencies:
- Clinical assessment, brief, evidence-based psychotherapy techniques, administration and interpretation of behavioral health screening instruments, team-based collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and of healthcare systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Knowledgebase related to issues of cultural competence.
Education: Masters Degree (Required)
Certifications: Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist – Other, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker – State of Massachusetts, Licensed Mental Health Counselor – Other
