Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead exciting and challenging projects? Deacon Construction is seeking a dynamic individual to join our bright, collaborative team. You will be responsible for developing, directing, and completing projects profitably and on time, ensuring client satisfaction every step of the way.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure positive job margins through project completion
  • Review estimations and manage budgets
  • Ensure strict contract compliance
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Provide timely and transparent reporting
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to keep projects on or ahead of schedule
  • Manage, train, and supervise the project team following Deacon's systems and procedures
  • Complete all job close-out procedures
  • Consistently meet established deadlines and project schedules

Position Requirements:

  • A combination of education and experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (e.g., a degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of direct experience in construction management with a track record of successful projects
  • Experience with healthcare, behavioral health, and affordable housing is a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to maintain a professional environment
  • Strong planning and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple concurrent deliverables and meet tight deadlines
  • Lead meetings, delivering reports and submittals, maintaining sub-lists, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, insurance, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and closeout procedures
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency
