LOSS CONTROL REPRESENTATIVE
IMT Insurance is currently seeking a Loss Control Representative in Eastern Nebraska and Southeastern South Dakota*. This individual will deliver high quality multi-line risk evaluations and loss analysis of exposures and be responsible for inspecting insured properties to evaluate physical conditions and promote safety programs. This applicant must be able to work independently, conduct positive customer service, and have excellent communication skills.
- Must live in the traveling territory of Kearny and Grand Island in Eastern Nebraska, Sioux Falls and Mitchell in Southern South Dakota, and Sioux City and Council Bluffs in Western Iowa.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Conduct on-site visits for comprehensive risk evaluation surveys of existing and prospective policyholders to evaluate operations, exposures and controls.
- Analyzes loss history to determine causes and to develop prevention and mitigation programs.
- Ability to fly drone missions to evaluate roof and building conditions.
- Prepare technical reports providing Commercial Underwriting a detailed assessment of risk.
- Inspect policyholder properties and operations to evaluate physical conditions, safety practices and hazardous situations.
- Report findings and recommendations for correction of unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Develop and promote risk management and loss control programs.
- Provide technical expertise and safety resources for underwriting, agency force and policyholders.
- Provide value-added loss control services, such as safety training, program development and risk consultation while building relationships to help retain quality business and lessen policyholder exposure to loss.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Knowledge, and ability to maintain expertise, in hazard recognition and mitigation for workers’ compensation, property, general liability, products liability and fleet exposures.
- Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and coverages.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA and other regulatory standards and regulations.
- Required to obtain FAA 107 Remote Pilot/Drone License
- Must possess good interpersonal and collaborative skills to enhance your ability to work well with policyholders, agency partners and colleagues.
- Possess solid verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to self-start and work remotely.
- Ability to manage workflow and prioritize responsibilities.
- Flexibility for necessary travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to key information for processing and operate complex office computer systems.
- Ability to perform physical activities of reaching, stretching, bending and moderate lifting.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving history due to required field work.
- Professional designations such as CSP, CPCU, or ARM preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 4-7 years relevant experience is needed to perform normal functions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Home or mobile office environment.
- Extended keying, sitting and computer screen viewing is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

The salary range for this position is $64,000.00 to $105,000.00
Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience
