What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary Information:

  • $2,000.00 New Hire Sign on Bonus, with $1,000.00 paid at 120 days and $1,000.00 paid at 365 days.
  • $33.45 per hour with the first increase in 180 days to $35.07
  • Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Additional $3.35 per hour for hours worked 2:30 pm – 7:00 am
  • Additional hourly retention supplements available for education and certifications up to 15%
  • Annual increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service

The Job Opportunity and Duties:

What you will do:

  • Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients creating and executing treatment plans
  • Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication
  • As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery
  • Contributes vital input on records, plans, and reports
  • Facilitate patient group activities

You Also Need to Know:

  • Must be able to complete a 4 week (business days Monday-Friday) full time orientation
  • May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior
  • Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment
  • Biennial renewal of licensure as registered nurse

Qualifications: Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing.
