Join Fish’s Minneapolis team in our fast-paced Accounting Department as a Payroll Coordinator.
How Will You Make a Difference?
- Assist with processing the weekly & semi-monthly payrolls covering multiple states with close attention to detail to minimize errors. This includes the automated and manual input and review of data from the time and attendance component of UKG Pro into the payroll component of UKG Pro.
- Maintain and update employee information in UKG Pro. This includes verifying all new hires, changes, and separations entered by Human Resources.
- Handle the distribution of the weekly and semi-monthly payroll checks.
- Respond in a timely manner to employee payroll questions and work with the Senior Payroll Manager to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Balance the weekly/monthly payroll runs, and review federal, state, and local tax payments.
- Audit and maintain employee vacation/personal/Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) accruals.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts that pertain to payroll deductions.
- Assist with the payroll reporting.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in the professional services industry.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with UKG Pro a plus.
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and contribute to effective team relationships.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with all levels of legal, management, and support staff.
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires the ability to commute to the Minneapolis office on occasion for team building, training and collaboration

- Our pay range for this position in Minneapolis is $29.64-$39.03 per hour (based on a 37.5 hour work week)
