HR Coordinator

As a human resources (HR) compensation coordinator, you will serve as the main point of contact for team phone calls and emails, providing professional, accurate, and courteous assistance to those seeking information. You will be responsible for representing compensation at new hire orientations and onboarding meetings, as well as managing accurate electronic employee files in Application Extender. You will also handle all new-hire electronic paperwork and onboarding tasks in coordination with HR. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure successful hires and status change transactions, audit data, and resolve issues.
In this role, you will manage transfer workflows for staff and faculty changes and provide insights on current processes to improve efficiency and identify areas for enhancement. In Banner, you will process all status change forms (SCFs) to ensure that changes are promptly communicated to payroll and benefits within set deadlines. You will also organize, review, and process all employee transactions, maintain manager changes, oversee EPSM assignments, and enter modifications to employee parking stipends. You will be responsible for implementing and upholding compensation policies, practices, and programs while assisting with the entry of staff merit increases. Furthermore, you will process PSLF forms for faculty upon submission.
You will also handle employee reporting structure changes, prepare and submit weekly New Hire Reports to the Georgia Department of Labor, and resolve discrepancies. You will stay informed about changes in laws governing wage and hour regulations, FLSA legislation, and other labor regulations. Additionally, you will review and approve requests for business cards and nametags while assisting with other projects and assignments as needed.
The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple, competing assignments. They should also be able to expertly convey relevant outcomes. The candidate must be detail-oriented, a critical thinker, and possess a proactive mindset. A commitment to professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality standards is essential. The ability to train on-site and travel between buildings is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one year of experience working in human resources or a closely related field
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom
- Experience or willingness to learn programs such as Banner, COGNOS, Application Extender, AdobeSign, Guardian, LawLogix, and PageUp
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, finance, or a related field
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
