Join our dynamic team at UAF’s College of Indigenous Studies (CIS) and the Community and Technical College (CTC) as a Lead HR Coordinator. In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to focus on collaboration and mentorship as you lead and support the HR Coordinators from these two UAF colleges. You will oversee HR functions, mentor HR coordinators, and help align HR practices with the strategic goals of both colleges.
As the Lead HR Coordinator for UAF’s College of Indigenous Studies (CIS) and the Community and Technical College (CTC), you’ll play a vital role in shaping HR strategy across both colleges. In this position, you will guide HR administration, oversee recruitment and onboarding efforts, and ensure compliance with university policies. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, help solve complex HR challenges, and drive and support initiatives that directly impact the success of both colleges. This role offers a unique chance to grow your leadership skills while making a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive work environment.
To excel in this role, you should bring strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple HR functions, from recruitment to termination, while providing mentorship to a team. Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of college coursework and three (3) years of technical human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a 11-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
