Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Payable clerk or someone with some bookkeeping experience to come in a couple of times a month. In this role, you will manage the company’s bills and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include entering vendor invoices into Quickbooks online and preparing accounts payable invoices, handling expense reports, preparing Sales tax reports from our software and filing sales tax returns with staates, and assisting with other vendor matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and budgets. At our current size, this should take 4-5 hours a time 2-3 times a month.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling credit card and bank statements
• Maintaining accurate general ledger journal entries
• Preparing accounts payable invoices
• Making payments promptly
• Preparing sales and use tax returns
• Providing support for audits
• Collaborating with other departments to handle account issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and research skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
