Overview:
The Billing Analyst will provide key contributions to CBS TV Stations billing operations ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing to all Paramount clients. This role will collaborate with cash & collections, sales, accounting, and other various internal/external teams in effort to streamline the billing process. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous diligence, and the capacity to efficiently manage various tasks within a fast-paced environment.

The Billing Analyst will provide key contributions to CBS TV Stations billing operations ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing to all Paramount clients. This role will collaborate with cash & collections, sales, accounting, and other various internal/external teams in effort to streamline the billing process. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous diligence, and the capacity to efficiently manage various tasks within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Invoice customers in accordance with contractual agreements and billing schedules
- Complete billing processes in boundary systems and interface data into ERP system
- Process credit and debit memos in an accurate and timely manner
- Generate on-demand invoices and adjustments ensuring they are approved in concordance to Paramount OAR (Operating Approval Requirements)
- Conduct thorough monthly billing reconciliations to ensure accuracy and generate metrics to identify trends and support financial reporting
- Address and resolve customer disputes and issues by collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify root cause and implement effective solutions for customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client invoices, adjustments, and communications
- Obtain necessary documentation for audit requests and facilitate efficient audit processes
- Identify and recommend improvements to billing processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with finance team to verify and ensure accurate GL entries related to billing transactions
- Fulfill ad hoc requests to support various OTC needs and initiatives
- Previous experience with invoicing/billing and ERP systems and processes
- Degree in finance, accounting, or business administration preferred
- General knowledge of accounting principles desired
- Adaptability to shifts in priorities and urgencies
- Oracle or SAP experience a plus
- Advanced Excel skills strongly required
- Exemplify proactive and innovative mindset with ability to identify and address inefficiencies
- Demonstrate capability to address billing issues and implement process improvements
- Ability to thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Ability to focus on urgent and important tasks with a proactive approach to follow-up
- Exhibit great interpersonal dexterity with strong ability to collaborate effectively
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Possess drive and a goal-oriented attitude
- Proficient with meeting deadlines and setting priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
