This person will manage all aspects of the development process including acquisition, feasibility analysis, underwriting & financing, zoning & entitlements, design, permitting, construction, leasing, and disposition. The Sr. Director of Development will perform hands-on management of project-planning, design, procurement, scheduling, budget management and project execution in a professional manner while assisting in the supervision of a skilled team of professionals including the Directors of Development, Development Managers, and other members of the Development team.

Midas Hospitality is hiring a Senior Director of Development. This person will manage all aspects of the development process including acquisition, feasibility analysis, underwriting & financing, zoning & entitlements, design, permitting, construction, leasing, and disposition. The Sr. Director of Development will perform hands-on management of project-planning, design, procurement, scheduling, budget management and project execution in a professional manner while assisting in the supervision of a skilled team of professionals including the Directors of Development, Development Managers, and other members of the Development team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist with the feasibility analysis for potential developments. This includes site studies, site selection, site assembly, market studies, and financial proforma analysis.
- Coordinate and oversee the engagement and ongoing coordination of third-party consultants which may include architects, contractors (GC's) mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, geotechnical and/or environmental consultants.
- Coordinate and manage the predevelopment process including conceptual design, construction pricing, and entitlements.
- Develop and manage approved project budgets and schedules.
- Update and maintain financial projections for individual projects.
- Assist with the process of securing and coordinating hospitality brand franchises.
- Assist and support efforts to secure project financing including various financial incentives.
- Coordinate and manage the construction process of assigned projects.
- Manage and report on each project against budgets, timelines and goals and provide reports on the status where required.
- Track vendor contracts and change requests.
- Oversee the construction contractor's field operations, including managing and coordinating owner inspections and punch lists. Manage the approval of all contractor invoices and requisitions for payment.
- Perform duties consistent with an "Owners Representative" as that term is understood in the real estate development industry.
- Participate in the commercial leasing efforts where applicable.
- Conduct inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure the work complies with contracts.
- Lead multiple projects and ensure timely closings, commencement and completion of all projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience of at least 10 years
- Experience in hospitality development preferred
- High-level comprehension of plans and specifications
- General understanding of the real estate development industry
- Advanced skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project
- Ability to maintain Project Tracking software
- Strong organizational and analytical ability
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
