Position Summary
Staffing Assistant II; under the supervision of the Staffing Coordinator and Nursing Administration is involved in providing the facility with Clinical Nursing staff. This includes but not limited to Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and all other direct patient contact personnel.
Supports the mission of HCSP and exemplifies “The Better Way” through leadership and demeanor. Represents the center in a positive manner both in the medical community and in the community as a whole.
Health – Ability to meet performance requirements
Education And Training
High School diploma or equivalent.
Attend in-service programs, as assigned, to learn procedures, develop skills and meet state requirements.
Basic Computer skills.
Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Personal Qualifications
Dependable with an excellent attendance record. (Excellent attendance record is crucial for this role)
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Sensitive to our patients’ physical and psychosocial needs.
Treat all partner information as confidential material.
Tactful and courteous approach with partners and visitors.
Ability to respond to change in a positive and productive manner.
Project a professional image of the facility both internally and externally.
Previous experience with staffing and payroll in the healthcare field preferred.
Performance Requirements
Able to sit 8-12 hours per day.
Able to lift 10 to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Able to bend, stoop, squat, and twist numerous times a day.
Able to speak, read, write, hear/comprehend to communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
Able to carry out fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Ensuring that all clinical units are adequately staffed using Par-level guidelines.
Research and resolve staffing problems in a timely manner.
Answer telephone in a pleasant clear voice. Screen or transfer calls; taking and delivering messages when appropriate.
Assure that the Staffing Projections are completed and updated as needed for all nursing personnel by reaching out to staff via call/text asking if they are available to work any open spots the schedules may have.
Make changes in staffing schedule as indicated by absence and illness and contact additional help to assure staffing levels are maintained to meet the care needs of patients.
Assure all partner in/out times are recorded accurately.
Assure all Nursing employee’s attendance has been recorded on working schedule daily.
Perform other duties as assigned.

- 12 HOUR SHIFTS EVERY OTHER WEEEKEND REQUIRED ****
