The staffing coordinator is responsible for the staffing and scheduling of float staff and placement of agency staff for all nursing staff as required to meet patient care needs. The individual will perform clerical duties for the office and work collaboratively with each unit to ensure staffing allocation. This individual will maintain personal records for the Division of Nursing. He/she works under the direction of the Administrative Officer on off-shift and weekends.

- Minimum Level of Education Required:
- Completion of High School or equivalent (such as a GED).
- Additional Requirements:
- Type of Degree: While not mandatory, having an Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Area of Study or Major: Ideally, the degree should be related to Clinical or Nursing fields.
- Preferred Educational Qualifications: Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
- Position-Specific Testing Requirement: No specific tests are required for this position.

- Prior Job Titles or Occupational Experience:
- Individuals with experience in roles such as Scheduler, Coordinator, Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Records Clerk (MCR), or Medical Assistant (MA) may find relevant skills transferable to this role.
- Preferred Experience:
- Having 1 year of related medical secretarial experience is advantageous. This familiarity can enhance efficiency in managing administrative tasks within a healthcare setting.
- Other Experience Requirements:
- A solid understanding of customer service principles and proficiency in office practices and procedures are valuable assets for success in this role
