Christmas Light Installer

Compensation: $18.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience

Coastal Virginia Christmas Decor is looking for Christmas Light Installers who are responsible for the installation, removal, and decorating of Christmas lights for residential and commercial spaces. This role requires attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to work in various weather conditions to create festive and visually appealing displays for the holiday season.

Responsibilities

• Safely install Christmas lights and decorations on buildings, trees, shrubs, and other structures
• Use ladders, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment to access and decorate elevated areas.
• Ensure that lights are properly secured to prevent hazards and maintain a neat and organized appearance.
• Properly handle electrical components, cords, and outlets to ensure compliance with safety standards and minimize fire risks.
• Communicate professionally with clients to ensure a clear understanding of their expectations and provide updates on the progress of the installation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in decorating, installation, or related roles is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects.
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot lighting issues.

Working Conditions

The Christmas Light Installer role involves outdoor work, often in cold weather conditions, to prepare, install, and remove holiday decorations. The role might require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet client demands and ensure timely installations. The installer must be comfortable using ladders, lifts, and other equipment to reach elevated areas and create visually appealing displays.
