Regulatory Technical Analyst

AHRI has an opening for a Regulatory Technical Analyst. The primary function of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of data to all regulatory agencies as required on behalf of AHRI members working with all internal and external stakeholders. The Regulatory Technical Analyst coordinates activities for AHRI data submission and other data maintenance needs as required to meet domestic, state, and international organization regulatory requirements. Meets with regulatory agencies as required to negotiate and harmonize data transfers. Coordinates the internal workflow from gathering functional requirements from Engineers to testing and relays information to the software development department to facilitate the programming for regulatory compliance. Duties are as follows:
Federal, State, Agency, and International Regulatory Process Management
- Be able to research, comprehend, and apply relevant Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) to AHRI member products
- Understanding state and international regulatory requirements such as California Energy Commission (CEC), Natural Resources of Canada (NRCan), SASO etc.
Facilitate Business Processes
- Develop features in collaboration with key stakeholders and transform them into user stories that are granular enough for a sprint
- Manage scope, project and client priorities
Database Management
- Gather, review, and write requirements for regulatory reporting
- Develop queries to glean information from the database using SQL and prepare reports as needed
Communications and Documentation to Stakeholders
- Coordinate communication between all stakeholders regarding goals and requirements
- Develop document findings and/or User Guides as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university/college; four or more years of work experience in an analyst or higher position may be considered in lieu of degree
- Two to four years of related experience responding to regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with and intermediate level knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with JIRA and/or Microsoft Azure preferred.
AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package including employer contributions to 401(k) and Roth(k) plans in a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $62,500 to $80,000.
