North American Regional Legal Secretary

The Legal Secretary will provide efficient and effective administrative services to fee earners such as Associates, Trainees, and others as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Undertakes specific practice group tasks and requirements
- Document production with a quick and accurate turnaround
- Effectively navigates across the Service Center to complete various tasks
- Utilizes and reviews materials from Service Centers to ensure accuracy
- Navigates the Service Now portal confidently, including toggling between multiple inboxes and Service Now to open and close tickets
- Proactively builds and coordinates relationships with Center-based services
- Proactively manages competing deadlines, including effectively managing multiple tasks and seeking assistance from the team when needed to meet deadlines
- Assist with clerical administration activities (e.g., printing/scanning, travel arrangements, etc.)
- Identifies and manages skill gaps
- Responsive to assignments coming into shared team Inbox
- Navigates Baker World efficiently
- Demonstrates flexibility with work schedule to support services fee earners across North America covering different time zones (East, West, and Central)
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms that deliver digital workflows; The ideal candidate will have experience using ServiceNow
- Ability to manage customer expectations and meet and exceed Service Level Agreements
- Proficient at prioritization including providing estimated time for completion of tasks and negotiating additional time where necessary
- Experience with quality management systems and peer review
- Strong experience working in a team environment
- Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable work experience
- 'Can-do' attitude, demonstrates proactivity and takes the initiative
- Strong technical capabilities across MSOffice Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Interested in career development and advancing both soft, tech, and administrative capabilities
- Ability to embrace change and challenges
- Ability to focus on the delivery of high-quality services
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

This position is bonus eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on number of hours worked.
The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $85,000 to $100,000 annually if located in an office in the city of Chicago or up to $95,000 to $106,000 if located in an office in the state of California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
